Lets face it..the economy is bad everywhere. Graduates hang their certificates on their necks looking for jobs. People are getting laid off from work and there's pressure everywhere about doing what you can to make money. Menial jobs, jobs you hate, jobs you can't stand, belligerent bosses you have to deal with, and yet through it all , your heart lies elsewhere..where your dream is. Many people want to be actors, other singers while some want to be directors, producers , footballers, writers and many more. But because the economy is bad and people need to eat..they settle and take the easy way out. It's good to make money yes but if you do that at the detriment of what you love..you'll find yourself sipping champagne with tears running down your cheeks as you watch your dreams go by.
Living life to the fullest is all about fulfillment. We all know our calling, what we love, what we crave, what we know we can't do without. Where our heart lies..where we'd rather be or do if we have a million dollars. So why settle? The saying YOLO doesn't mean you should party every night,get drunk or get laid. It basically means you should make your life a meaning..as much as you can because this is your only chance and you're not getting any younger. Trust me, if you don't do what you love now..you would be miserable when your older. You would look back on your life and regret many things. Regret, is the worst feeling you can have about your life. Ask yourself..what's the importance of your existence? Why are you on this earth? Figure out what it is you love the most, what you enjoy doing and capitalize on that..no matter how hard it is. No one ever said the road to success was easy. It takes hard work, perseverance, patience and sometimes luck to make it.
If you are doing what you love, you wouldn't be in a haste to leave your job. You wouldn't wonder why the time is slow today and check your watch every five minutes in a haste to leave. You deserve better. Start today!. Start small!. It takes a drop of water to make an ocean. Rome wasn't built in a day. Follow your dreams and be happy.
Doing what you love gives you a refreshed perspective of life, life becomes beautiful. Everyday becomes memorable and you would undoubtedly be at peace with yourself. You would be happy, you would grow stronger, you would flourish..and when you look back on your life..you would have amazing stories to tell. Ignore the naysayers and people that discourage or put you down. In fact deviate from telling people your plans. Surprise them and do you. Be your own cheerleader because no one would do that for you and grow a tough skin to strive. It's all worth it. Life is too short to be miserable and stuck. Take a chance to risk it all or play it safe and suffer defeat!
